<p>The Cancer Care Alliance (CCA) Network for Teesside, South Durham and North Yorkshire has a reputation for delivering multi-professional cancer and palliative care education. It has developed its own competency framework, which together with academic based courses, have been utilised by nurses and allied health professionals across the network. This paper discusses the creation of a cancer and palliative care education workbook aimed at level one staff (healthcare assistants, voluntary staff, nurses and allied health professionals new to this area of care) – a previously neglected, yet important sector of staff within CCA.</p>
