Reviewing nurses’ and doctors’ abilities to perform clinical breast examination
<p>This literature review examines the potential role of the specialist nurse or nurse practitioner in performing clinical breast examinations. This would be an extended role for the nurse. With the proper training, supervision and support, this literature review leads one to conclude that there is little or no difference in the abilities of nurses and doctors to detect breast masses.</p>
