<p>Communicating a diagnosis of lung cancer involves the delivery of highly complex information to a poor prognostic group. This study examined the value of audio taping consultations with lung cancer patients with the aim of improving communication and enabling patients to revise information given on diagnosis and treatment plan options at a later date. The positive results of this small study add to the growing body of evidence which supports the value of taped consultations in cancer care.</p>
