A literature review
<p>As many as 35 per cent of women attending A&E may do so as a result of violence from a known man (1). But despite this chilling figure, those working in A&E continually fail to make an appropriate assessment, and thus miss the opportunity to intervene (2). This article will discuss some of the reasons for this, and make suggestions to improve clinical practice in this area.</p>
