Provision of clean injecting equipment
<p>Providing clean needles and syringes to injecting drug users is one established strategy to prevent the spread of HIV and other blood borne infections (1). Our A&E department had been faced with problems from intravenous (IV) drug users requesting clean injecting equipment, and we wanted to know how other A&Es dealt with such requests, and whether they experienced similar problems.</p>
