Role modelling as a teaching method

<p>While studying for my Masters in education, I have been encouraged to examine how I teach or facilitate learning, and to move away from the traditional method of ‘passive transmission of knowledge in pre digested chunks’ (Burnard 1992), as well as to consider alternative methods such as role modelling (Davies 1993, Nelms et al 1993, Driggers et al 1993).</p>
