<p/> <p>Non-opioid analgesics, such as aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and paracetamol, are widely used in the treatment of pain, pyrexia and inflammation. Each has therapeutic advantages and potential disadvantages. This article discusses the indications, cautions and contraindications, adverse effects and interactions of these agents.</p>
