Cancer pain part 2: assessment and management
<p>Pain is common in patients with cancer and may be caused by the disease itself or treatments. Part 1 of this article identified the causes and types of cancer pain to inform assessment and management of pain, which will be discussed in this article. Barriers to pain management and the non-medical prescribing role of the advanced practice nurse in treating patients with cancer pain will be explored.</p>
