Caring for staff: setting quality standards
To ensure high quality patient care, and to reduce sickness and absence rates, staff themselves need to feel supported. In this article, the authors describe how devising quality standards for staff support provided a useful way of offering both practical support to staff and a tool for measuring the effectiveness of that support.
