Coronary heart disease: the Indian Asian diet

<p>CORONARY HEART DISEASE (CHD) remains the single most prevalent cause of premature death in the UK, but according to the British Heart Foundation (1997), the death rate for the disease is 36 per cent higher among south Asian men and 46 per cent higher for Asian women than in the general UK population. The statement goes on to say that dietary factors play a significant part in this situation.</p>
