The menopause and HRT: a more positive view?

<p>Most discussion in the literature about the menopause and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) centres on the biomedical model of health. Seedhouse (1986), Aggleton (1990) and others agree that this is the model on which health care in the developed world is based. The model describes health as a commodity and treats health in a quantifiable way.</p>
