Minor injury care in the community
<p>In the summer of 1990, the Basildon and Thurrock Health Authority took the decision to centralise acute services on one hospital site. This was achieved by the end of July 1991. Prior to centralisation, the authority provided acute services on two hospital sites, one in the district of Basildon, the other at Orsett Hospital in the borough of Thurrock.</p>
