A new role in practice development

<p>Although NHS trust managers at Rochdale NHS Trust wanted to improve doctors' working conditions, nurses saw this move as an exciting opportunity to design new nursing posts. Other changes taking place at the same time encouraged these ideas — the abolition of the night sister posts and changes to doctors' working arrangements were two examples.</p>
