<p>This article considers the rationale for development, implementation and evaluation of a programme to raise awareness of long-term conditions. The article considers the role and contribution of clinical support workers, including healthcare assistants, profession-specific support workers and generic support workers. It also considers the context of long-term conditions in the UK.</p>
