The RCN Dynamic Quality Improvement (DQI) Network

THE DQI programme was first established in1985 and undertakes a range of activities relating to clinical effectiveness, clinical guidelines, clinical audit and quality improvement. The DQI Network represents a key mechanism for disseminating this work, promoting its uptake in practice and, most importantly, receiving feedback and input from staff working in practice. This is reflected in three main aims of the network, which are to:
■
Facilitate networking and communication on issues relating to the quality of health care.
■
Provide a framework of support, information and education to nurses and healthcare professionals striving to improve the quality of health provision.
■
Act as the interface between clinical practice and policy development.
