<p>Haemochromatosis is an iron storage disorder that leads to an increase in iron levels in the body. The basic physiology and fundamental genetic mechanism is unknown, but progression of the disease leads to intestinal absorption of iron that is inappropriate to bodily needs (Halliday and Powell 1990).</p>
