<p>THE SIMPLE ASPIRIN has won through yet again as the best emergency treatment for patients immediately following a stroke (1ST 1997). Back in 1994. the wonders of aspirin were discovered in the treatment of heart attacks but there were still unanswered questions about whether it would be as effective for people who have strokes as a result of ischaemia.</p>
