<p> Aim and intended learning outcomesThe aim of this article is to define the various types of lymphoedema and how they occur. Particular risk factors which can, and will, occur if patients receive no treatment for their lymphoedema will be outlined. The role of the nurse will concentrate on the assessment, management and the appropriate treatments available.
