Fever in children
<p>Fever is a naturally occurring adaptive mechanism and part of the immune system’s inflammatory response. It is often caused by self-limiting viral illnesses. Fever in children causes concern for parents and it is a common reason for attendance at GP surgeries and for children being admitted to hospital in the UK.</p>
