Pay: what the new deal could mean for you
After months of delays, the independent NHS Pay Review Body (RB), which advises governments on NHS pay, has recommended staff on Agenda for Change (AfC) contracts in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (NI) receive a 5.5% pay rise. Pay for NHS staff in Scotland is negotiated separately and the devolved government has offered AfC staff there a 5.5% pay rise. The awards will be backdated to 1 April 2024.
