NHS Staff Council job evaluation group has begun a nine-week consultation on job profiles for bands 7, 8 and 9. Nursing staff and employers are encouraged to take part and comment on whether proposed changes accurately reflect the qualifications and clinical skills for roles at these bands, after an RCN campaign highlighted that existing decade-old profiles fail to match modern nursing skills and practices.
