Mandatory training to move with staff if they switch NHS employers

NHS nursing and other healthcare staff, including bank workers, will soon be able to transfer their completed statutory and mandatory (StatMand) training between NHS organisations in England, which will save up to 200,000 staff days annually, according to NHS England. More than 260 NHS trusts and integrated care boards (ICBs) have signed an agreement that will remove the need for staff to repeat already completed training when they change employers. The move is intended to reduce duplicated sessions and the time burden of StatMand training, and improve staff experience. Training including fire safety and safeguarding will be accepted with valid proof.
