NHS nursing pay: staff in Scotland are first of UK nations to get pay offer
Following months of pressure from health unions, nursing staff in Scotland have been offered an 8% pay rise over two years with an inflation guarantee. The offer includes a 4.25% rise in 2025 and 3.75% in 2026, ensuring salaries remain above the consumer price index inflation. The offer aims to address living cost increases and historic pay erosion. Nursing unions will ballot members for approval.
