Trust ordered to pay nurse £200K for reasonable adjustments failure

A senior nurse was awarded more than £200,000 after an employment tribunal found Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust failed to make reasonable adjustments following a brain haemorrhage and resulting time off work. Despite recommendations, support was delayed or denied, causing stress and worsening health, the tribual heard. The nurse retired early, citing unsafe conditions. The trust has since reviewed its policies and introduced relevant training.
