Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) has been on a journey of improvement and is committed to driving forward change and innovation. CPFT’s ambition to improve and change is aligned with the drive to transform wound care across England via the National Wound Care Strategy Programme. This article details the evaluation of a quality improvement project that involved the implementation of a digital wound assessment platform, Minuteful for Wound, in two community nursing teams at CPFT. Before implementing this platform, the trust had limited insights into its clinical wound caseload. Despite operational challenges and external pressures on services, the project has been a success, demonstrating benefits in care quality, productivity, efficiency, patient engagement and patient outcomes.
