Management of patients with breast cancer
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, with over 41,000 women diagnosed every year (Cancer Research UK 2004). The author examines the biological, psychological and social aspects of managing patients with breast cancer, and highlights the nurse’s role in supporting patients throughout their illness.
