Aims and intended learning outcomes The aim of this article is to refresh your knowledge of the structure and functions of the skin and to provide an overview of management of psoriasis. Treatment options within the primary care setting will be discussed to enable you to consider the appropriate treatment options for the condition and specifically for individual patients. The importance of the educative and supportive roles a nurse can provide will also be highlighted.
