Extended placements make students more effective
<p>Recently I attended a seminar facilitated by Professor Phil Barker and _ Poppy Buchanan-Barker about the now well-established Tidal Model for mental health nursing practice (Buchannan-Barker and Barker 2008). During the seminar, Professor Barker spoke of the importance of human relationships and the value of people’s personal stories; indeed, he contended that in the final analysis, all humans amount to are their stories.</p>
