<p>This article aims to provide practical advice for learning disability professionals about what determines continuing healthcare funding eligibility when applied to people with learning disabilities. A continuing NHS healthcare assessment process is provided and alternative funding options are explored. The author describes how to improve the experiences of service users and partnership working between health and social care teams, with particular emphasis on the legislative context in terms of health and social care responsibilities.</p>
