The nursing student’s role in addressing health inequalities

<p>As Driscoll and Teh (2001) observe: ‘Reflection contributes to professional development by revealing knowledge and skills used in everyday practice, exposing areas that require development.’ The purpose of this article is to demonstrate, by way of reflection, the significance and impact of a particular project undertaken as a nursing student during placement. Real names and locations have been changed to respect confidentiality and adhere to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) code of professional conduct (2004).</p>
