<p>Person-centred planning (PCP) is about people with learning disabilities having control of their own lives. But, from the authors’ experience, relatively little is known about PCP outside the realm of paid staff. This article discusses a development at the University of the West of England (UWE) in which people with learning disabilities and informal carers studied person-centred planning at university. As a result they took an active role in the development of PCP within the region where they have influenced positive changes.</p>
