A healthy community living skills group in a high security hospital
This article discusses the setting up and running of a healthy community living skills group for assertive rehabilitation patients in a high security hospital with reference to the Commissioning of Quality and Innovation (CQUIN) target. The broad aims of the group are presented and how the patient body has adapted and modified these to suit their particular needs. The ‘past-present-future’ framework is discussed, as well as the development of a tolerant listening space where both sameness and difference can be tolerated and autonomy can be preserved in the context of healthy attachment.
